1. Introduction: What's your story?
DeeJayRan is a creative, passionate, and soulful young man whose music illustrates these qualities. DJ Ran's versatile style allows him to play various genres of music, with an undeniable talent for mixing, blending, and scratching today's hottest songs without even skipping a beat!!
DJ Ran grew up in Irvington, NJ. He began putting on headphones and planted himself behind turntables at the age of 10. His exceptional talents have blossomed into tight skills that makes his versatility unmatchable. He does all types of events such as retail & corporate events, concerts, fashion shows, nightclubs, proms, electoral events, celebrity events and weddings just to name a few.
DJ Ran is known for being the first DJ to ever DJ live in shopping malls all over the country. For over 15 years he has been the tour dj and grand opening dj for Against All Odds clothing stores. DJ Ran helped Against All Odds blossom from 3 stores to over 65 stores in malls all over the East & West Coast in states such as New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Arizona, and California.
Each weekend, DJ Ran traveled to a different Against All Odds location and DJed live in the stores as a promotional strategy for the company from the years 2000-2010. As a member of the marketing team, he assisted in the planning of various events and promotional strategies to ensure customer awareness of this clothing empire.
He was the man behind organizing celebrity in-stores which had celebrities such as 50 Cent, Russell Simmons, Jadakiss, Jabbawockeez, Juelz Santana and Lauren London just to name a few. DJ Ran is also known for creating Against All Odds promotional mixed CDs which were distributed to over 30,000 customers per season.
Dj Ran is the newest brand ambassador for new cell phone app entitled TRIO. Dj Ran is also the Magic Show Convention DJ for Southpole Clothing and WT02 Clothing as well. Dj Ran has appeared on famous retired tv show BET’s Rap City The basement on 4 occasions.
He is also the 107.5 WBLS Harlem Week Dj Competition Finalist and is now one of the WBLS Holiday Mix Masters for this accomplishment. Past events this summer and fall included events hosted by actor Darren Henson of “Soul Food” and “Stomp The Yard” and MiMi of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta”. DJ Ran is also a member of Absolute Celebrations which is an upscale wedding entertainment company that specializing in exotic weddings. He is also a member of Explore Talent Casting Agency where he is available for movies, videos, tv ads & tv commercials.

2. What's your experience as a wedding DJ? How many weddings have you done?
When it comes to the hottest DJs from New Jersey, DJ Ran is at the top of the list. With over 20 years of hard work, consistency, and dedication; this young man has groomed himself to be one of the most requested and respected DJs in his area. His diversity allows him to Dj a large variety of events and functions besides just nightclubs.
He has been the nexus of music, fashion, and nightlife for over half of his living years for all types of events all around the world. When Queen Latifah wanted a DJ for her family cookout and sister's wedding, there’s only one person she called.
When comedian Mike Epps wanted an afterparty for his concert at NJ Performing Arts Center, there’s only one person he called. When comedian Jonathan Martin needs a DJ for his shows at Caroline’s in NYC, there’s only one person he called. When Brooklyn NY’s District Attorney Kenneth Thompson needed a DJ for his Electoral Celebration, there’s only one person he called. When the Women’s Democratic Club of New Jersey needed a DJ for the first Campaign Kickoff for Hillary Clinton, there’s only one person they called. DJ RAN!!!

3. How far in advance do couples need to book your services?
Couples need to book as soon as they find their venue. I book as far as two and three years in advance depending on the dates.
4. What's your rate? What does that include?
Wedding rates start at $1500 which includes sound, lighting and microphone. However, this rate is for a 4 hour reception only. Ceremony and Cocktail hour are additional rates, as well as add ons. We have 360 Booths, Selfie Stations, Cold Sparks, Uplighting, and Dancing on Clouds for add ons and we also offer day of wedding planning and dance choreography if needed. All at additional rates.
5. Are you available to travel if needed?
Yes i am. However , out of state and destination weddings must also compensate for travel, hotel, and days needed for service.
6. How would you describe your style?
My creativity and skill allows me to be able to make any event fun and memorable.
7. What's your backup plan if there's an equipment malfunction? Do you bring backup equipment?
I bring back up equipment with me at all times.
8. What's your sick day policy?
I have replacement DJs if in event that I am sick. However, that has never happened.
9. How do you motivate a shy crowd to dance? What do you do to motivate the crowd if nobody is dancing?
I'll get out there and start dancing myself and I'll invite them to dance with me!!
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
Cancellations must be done one month prior to the event date. Deposits are non refundable.
