1. Introduction: What's your story?
Since I was 21, I have been in the industry of creating exquisite spaces and settings for clients. I fell in love with the floral design industry at a young age, growing up in nurseries which my parents owned. Being surrounded by the beauty of different floral species, coupled with my love of artistic design and creativity , piqued my infatuation with creating worlds transformed by floral design and introduction.
My mother founded Dei-zinz, a company creating silk floral arrangements, trees, and artistic statement pieces in 1994 in the valley and from the birth of the company, I was captivated by the ability to bring any style, idea, or sentiment to a home simply by the addition of thoughtfully designed floral arrangements.
In 2017, Dei-zinz transformed into a parent company, originating Dei-zinz Fresh Studio, a place where decades of floral design expertise could run wild with living flowers for one of a kind weddings and events. Since then, my team of trained designers have constructed towering arches of flowers, suspended floral chandeliers, and fashioned bouquets to match any style of wedding imaginable.
I have the deepest passion for creating art with living florals and bringing their natural beauty into every space. This passion, I believe, is what allows me to pour all of my creativity into every event we are a part of.
2. What's your experience as a wedding florist business? How many weddings are in there in your portfolio?
Our company has been in business continuously since 2017, providing services to brides of all styles across the valley and beyond. We have designed and provided florals for events in Tucson, Sedona, and Flagstaff. Our trained team is vastly experienced in preserving the quality of every arrangement, garland, arch spray, and bouquet we create, ensuring the ultimate appearance of every piece, no matter the location.
With years in the industry, Dei-zinz Fresh Studio has the experience and knowledge base to create any theme of wedding or event in any climate. Our designers are able to recommend heat-tolerant florals, as well as florals that provide exceptional longevity for multi-day events.
Over the years, we have provided services to over sixty-five weddings across the state.
3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?
With our team, more time only allows for more creativity!
While we have happily provided services to weddings with less than four weeks of notice, to allow for the maximum amount of design time, and to ensure that the exact floral species are ordered, we recommend clients contact us for services at least six months before their special event.
Contacting and booking our team in advance not only allows time for adjustments, modifications, and additional design, but also ensures that your date will be available for our services.
4. How do you price your floral arrangements? What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
Every bridal package is unique to our team. We prefer to conduct a complimentary initial consultation with each and every bride to get an idea of the items they are desiring and the grandeur and style of each item.
From there, we like to complete an, also complimentary, proposal abundant in sample photos, as well as price and style point based options for the bride and family to review. Then, we work to create a perfectly customized package for our client.
In review of our most recent weddings, clients often select arch decor, either swags or sprays, reception and dessert table centerpieces, bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, aisle florals, and groom and groomsmen Boutonnières. Florals for dog collars, flower girl crowns, dessert cake florals, and additional florals are often added.
5. How many meetings will you have with the couple, and how will they be involved?
Our team likes to start with an initial consultation involving the bride and anyone they wish to be involved, including but not limited to, the future spouse, event planner, parents, in-laws, and maid of honor.
After our initial meeting, one of our skilled designers will send a proposal to the bride or point of contact for the party. If they wish to review the proposal, or make any modifications, they are more than welcome to do so in person via a meeting at our shop, over the phone, or by text or email.
From the point of contract until delivery of services, clients are welcome to schedule complimentary meetings with our design team regarding the style, quantity, and delivery of their order at any time.
We additionally offer a charged service of mock-ups where our team will create an exact replica of certain design pieces to be included in the day's services for the client to review.
6. Who else is in your team and how many people on your staff will be at the wedding?
We currently have three designers on our team with four employees who conduct the take down and disassembly of items such as arches and glassware for our events.
For most weddings, we send one to two designers to the site for the set up and one to two designers to repurpose any florals or pieces used at a secondary location.
For our larger rental items such as arches, pedestals, and rental trees we send an additional one or two employees. If a wedding is desiring additional employees for assistance, we can provide supplemental staff.
7. How would you describe your design style? (e.g. traditional, modern, rustic, organic)
We pride ourselves in staffing designers of all styles, allowing us to specialize in any space. While we originated as a modern design studio, we house skilled designers in organic, garden, transitional, conservation, and bohemian.
8. Who will handle setup and delivery? What other services do you offer?
We deliver and set up all of our products. Upon delivery, our design team will perfectly set up all of our florals and rented items. We offer rented silk cherry blossom trees, silk tree and plant decor, arches, pedestals, and vases.
Our team will arrive with, set up, and take down all of our products. We offer services to decorate multiple spaces on the same day and can accommodate repurposing of florals and/or rentals from one event space to another.
At the culmination of the day's events, we remove all of our rented product and allow parties to keep all of their purchased florals.
9. What happens to the flowers after the wedding?
Once a wedding has concluded, clients are welcome to keep their living and/or silk florals. Our team will arrive after the party has dispersed and collect all hard goods.
Dei-zinz Fresh Studio provides the complimentary service of bedding all centerpiece floral designs in a clear "take-home" plastic container to ensure that clients can keep all of their florals, even after hard good items such as metal and glass vases have been removed.
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
If a cancellation is requested prior to thirty-days of the event, the client is entitled to a full refund, minus their deposit, which equates to 20% of their event's total cost.
