1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hi I'm Jessica Manis, and I am the co - owner of Refeyeance Makeup and Hair West LLC.

As a child I would spend hours playing in makeup and hair. I always knew I wanted to make others feel special. My grandmother was such a sport letting me try every makeup and hair look you could imagine. She was my muse and Guinea pig.

I have been in the beauty industry for over 18 years. Having worked administratively for companies such as MAC, Christian Dior, Elizabeth Arden, Sephora, Becca Cosmetics and Estee Lauder just to name a few. I started my makeup career in Costa Mesa California in 2002 where I attended Empire Academy of makeup. I went on to get my airbrush certification at Temptu in New York City. I have been a key artist at New York Fashion week as well as had my work published in countless magazines.

The bridal industry has always been a passion for me. 2010 my partner and I decided to step away from editorial, salon and retail environment to open REFEYEANCE Makeup & Hair. Focusing our creative direction on providing brides with the best customer service and event coordination partnering with over 20 of the best artists in the Indianapolis area. The artists we book for are licensed professionals that come to you on your wedding day. One of the main advantages of our company is the benefits of working with an agency vs. a solo artist. In the event of an emergency we are likely to have a replacement artist for you in addition to providing you with immediate correspondence.

2. What's your experience as a bridal hair & makeup artist? How many brides are in there in your portfolio?

As a wedding artist I have worked on over 300 brides and bridal parties in the last 10 years. As a company we have worked with thousands.

3. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

4. Do you have a team of assistants or will you be the only artist that day? What will happen if you're sick or have an emergency on the wedding day?

The benefits of working with an agency vs. a solo artist is that in the event of an emergency we are likely to have a replacement artist for you in addition to providing you with immediate correspondence.

5. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

In our Indianapolis market we travel up to 100 miles from the city center. We have artists in over 40 cities nationwide.

6. Can the bride book a wedding makeup trial appointment and will you also do a trial before the wedding?

Trial runs are optional but highly recommended.

7. What beauty products do you use and would you be open to the bride using her own make-up?

The artist's kits are stocked with high def and waterproof makeup. Professional makeup and hair products. Geared towards long wear. If a client has sensitivity we are more than willing to use their products on them.

8. How can you make the bride's wedding makeup last and look good in photos?

All of the artists have a deep passion for creating beauty in collaboration with your vision. By studying the latest airbrushing techniques taught by lead trainers of Temptu (the founders in airbrushing). The artists are able to deliver a beautiful, flawless creation that looks amazing with High-Definition Photography and will last all day and into the night. Silicone-based airbrushing fills in pores, fine lines and imperfections on the skin and has an all-day, natural looking, waterproof wear. Each makeup application receives event lashes & airbrushing included in the price. Traditional makeup is also available. The Artists also participate in many bridal hair styling classes throughout the year so that they can execute any bridal hair style.

9. How long will makeup take on the day and how long will you be staying for on the day?

We schedule 1 hour per bride hair and 1 hour per bride makeup. We schedule 45 minutes per additional adult hair and 45 minutes per additional adult makeup. Once the schedule is finished the artists will pack up. If you would like an artist to stay on for the day there is a $100 per hour fee.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

In the event a client wishes to terminate the agreement, they are required to provide a 90 day written notice. Client will be responsible for paying 30% cancellation fee of the wedding day total if not given adequate notice.
