1. Introduction: What's your story?
Being a wedding officiant is truly my favorite job! After years of working with couples as an event planner, I never imagined I’d one day have the honor of playing such a personal role in their marriage ceremonies.
Meeting couples for the first time is one of my favorite parts of the process. Whether you’re excited, nervous, or unsure where to start, I’m here for you! I’ll answer questions you didn’t even know you had and guide you every step of the way to create the ceremony of your dreams.
With my background in theater, I bring creativity, passion, and a vibrant voice to every ceremony—boring is never an option! Now semi-retired, I get to focus on what I love most: celebrating love stories from couples all over the country and even the world.

2. What's your experience as a wedding officiant? How many weddings have your officiated?
My journey as a wedding officiant began when I stepped in to help a friend who was overwhelmed with ceremony requests. From the very first wedding, I was hooked! Since then she stepped aside and I started my own company. I’ve had the honor of officiating over 150 ceremonies. One of my favorite parts of this work is traveling across Colorado and experiencing the stunning venues and breathtaking outdoor settings couples choose for their big day. Every love story is unique, and I can’t wait to meet my next couple and bring their vision to life!
3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?
Popular dates such as July 4th, Christmas, Valentines Day and New Years should be booked 3 months in advance. If you are looking for a weekend in the mountains during the fall colors changing it should also be 3 months in advance. Otherwise I have performed weddings within 12 hours of a request. I have ceremonies for sudden ceremonies and those that are planned well in advance. Six weeks is preferable.
4. How would you describe your officiant style?
I would describe my officiant style as personalized, flexible, and heartfelt. I love working with couples to create a ceremony that truly reflects their unique story and relationship. Whether you’re religious, non-religious, or somewhere in between, I can craft a ceremony that feels authentic to you. I also enjoy incorporating meaningful rituals like handfastings, ring warmings, unity crosses, or family blendings—it’s all about making your day special and memorable.
I’m laid back and go with the flow, which comes in handy for the many outdoor ceremonies I perform here in Colorado. From hail to snow to high winds, we make it work with a smile! I also love including family members, whether that’s children, newborns, adult kids, or even your furry friends. My goal is to create a ceremony that feels seamless, warm, and entirely yours.
5. What are your fees for officiating a wedding?
I offer packages to fit any budget, ranging from $200 for a simple civil ceremony to $450 for a fully personalized ceremony tailored to your unique love story. My fees include all traditions and rituals you’d like to incorporate—such as handfastings, unity ceremonies, or family blendings—at no extra charge. Rehearsals and travel are additional, as these can vary depending on the location and specific needs of your day.

6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?
I give my couples pictures of the choices for a ceremony so that I blend in. Some are more formal than others and some require a little bit of hiking to the ceremony spot. I have been know to change shoes and remove warm coats for the ceremony and they go back on for the hike back! I don't wear robes but will wear a requested color should I have it available in my wardrobe.
7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?
After our initial consultation, the next step is typically a Zoom meeting or an in-person meeting, depending on the couple’s location. I’ve even worked with military personnel stationed in Japan, so I understand the importance of flexibility and accommodating different schedules.
From there, we’ll have one or two additional meetings, or we can communicate via text and email to make edits and finalize the details of your ceremony. My packages are designed to fit your needs, offering more or fewer formal meetings depending on what you’re looking for.
I like to keep the process as flexible as possible, ensuring it aligns with what you’ve been dreaming of for your special day. Whether you prefer detailed planning or a simpler approach, I’m here to make sure it’s all about you and your love story!
8. Will you be able to create a personalized ceremony?
Yes as I have stated previously, my weddings are all personalized.
9. Are you available to travel if needed?
I’m happy to travel up to 3.5 hours one way for your wedding with no overnight stay required. For locations that do require an overnight stay, I ask that local accommodations be covered in addition to my fees. Travel costs are based on round-trip hours, ensuring everything is clear and straightforward. No matter where your ceremony takes place, I’ll do my best to make it stress-free and seamless!
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
My contract includes a clear refund policy to ensure transparency and peace of mind. The retainer fee is non-refundable, as it reserves your date and time. If you need to cancel, refunds (excluding the retainer) are available up to a certain number of weeks before your ceremony. However, no refunds are given within 14 days of the ceremony. This policy helps me dedicate my time and resources fully to your special day!
