1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi, I’m Carla Doshi, founder and lead officiant at Forever Incredible. My officiant journey began when two dear friends asked me to officiate their elopement on St. Pete Beach. I immediately fell in love with the powerful, meaningful moment when words unite couples as spouses for life. What has kept me on this path is a deep love for storytelling and celebrating life’s most meaningful moments. Since then, I’ve had the joy of working with countless couples, each with their own unique story. I take pride in making every ceremony feel deeply authentic to who they are. Through Forever Incredible, I aim to create ceremonies that celebrate not only the union but the journey that led them there. I work with couples who value the beauty of a custom-crafted ceremony, and with every 'I do,' I strive to make the start of their forever as incredible as it deserves to be.
2. What's your experience as a wedding officiant? How many weddings have your officiated?
With 23 years as an officiant, I’ve had the joy of performing hundreds of weddings, from private elopements to elaborate gatherings. Each ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate a couple’s unique path to one another, and I take great care in making each experience reflect who they truly are. My years of experience have allowed me to blend creativity with tradition, crafting ceremonies that honor a couple’s personal journey while adding touches that make their day truly memorable. I approach each wedding with a commitment to making it a beautiful, heartfelt start to their marriage.
3. How far in advance do couples need to secure your services?
Couples often secure my services up to two years in advance, especially for popular weekends, as my calendar fills quickly. Occasionally, I’m able to accommodate bookings just weeks before a ceremony, but early planning is ideal. About four months before the wedding, couples receive their ceremony writing 'homework'—a thoughtful questionnaire I call my Dig Deeper exercise, designed to help us explore the heart of their story. This gives ample time for them to complete their part, for me to craft their ceremony, and for us to collaborate on any desired edits. Then, about two weeks before the big day, I schedule a call to go over final details, ensuring everything is perfect for their ceremony.
4. How would you describe your officiant style?
My officiant style is warm, engaging, and deeply personal. I strive to create a comfortable atmosphere where couples can truly be themselves, allowing their unique love story to shine through. I blend heartfelt sincerity with a touch of lightheartedness, ensuring that the ceremony reflects both the significance of the moment and the joy of the occasion. I believe in the power of storytelling, so I work closely with each couple to weave their individual narratives into a cohesive and meaningful ceremony. Ultimately, my goal is to create a memorable experience that resonates with the couple and their loved ones.
5. What are your fees for officiating a wedding?
My pricing is designed to accommodate a variety of wedding styles and needs. For elopements, my services begin at $649, making it an accessible option for couples seeking an intimate ceremony. For larger weddings, my officiating fees start at $1,099. I also offer a comprehensive package for $1,499, which includes both the ceremony and rehearsal. For those looking for an elevated experience, my VIP package includes assistance with speeches, as well as a blessing or reading before the start of dinner. I believe in providing exceptional value while ensuring that each ceremony is uniquely tailored to celebrate the couple's love.
6. What do you wear when you officiate a wedding?
When officiating a wedding, I love to dress up and embrace the celebratory spirit of the day. Since I’m part of the couple’s cherished memories, I ensure my attire aligns with the theme and tone of their celebration. I consult with the couple about their color palette to ensure I look like I truly belong in their ceremony photos. I like to say that I aim to be their 'best dressed guest,' reflecting the care and thought they’ve put into every detail of their special day. After all, the officiant should complement the beautiful tapestry they’ve woven for their wedding.
7. How many pre-wedding sessions will the couple need to have with you?
The number of pre-wedding sessions varies based on the package the couple has chosen. At a minimum, we will have an initial consultation and a pre-ceremony chat. However, once they retain my services, I make it a point to stay in regular contact. I want couples to feel comfortable reaching out with any questions or concerns they may have. My goal is to be a supportive resource, ensuring they feel confident and excited as their wedding day approaches.
8. Will you be able to create a personalized ceremony?
Absolutely! Creating a personalized ceremony is at the heart of what I do. I work closely with each couple to understand their unique love story, values, and vision for their special day. Through thoughtful discussions and my Dig Deeper questionnaire, I gather the details that matter most to them, allowing me to craft a ceremony that truly reflects their relationship. Whether it’s incorporating special traditions, meaningful readings, or unique vows, I’m dedicated to ensuring their ceremony feels uniquely theirs and resonates with their love.
9. Are you available to travel if needed?
Yes, yes, yes! I am available for travel locally, nationally, and even internationally to officiate weddings. Whether it’s a beautiful beach destination, a charming countryside venue, or a vibrant city setting, I’m excited to join couples wherever their love takes them. Traveling to officiate a wedding is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate unique love stories in stunning locations!
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
My cancellation and refund policy is straightforward. The initial payment is non-refundable, as it secures your date and my services. For weddings within the US, the final balance is due 30 days prior to the ceremony. For international weddings, the final balance is due 60 days prior. This timeline ensures that we have everything in place for a beautiful and stress-free ceremony.
