1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi! My name is Nadya and I’m a fine art photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was born and raised in Moscow, Russia and moved to California in 2017. Photography has always been a huge part of my life. My father was a hobbyist photographer, he had a film camera and developed scans by himself. It was a really fascinating process for me and I quickly fell in love with the process. I’ve started my professional journey as a fashion photographer and then transitioned into family and wedding photography, because I've realized that I love real emotions much more.
2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?
I’ve started my journey back in 2009 and have more than 10 years of experience in wedding photography. I do a limited number of weddings each year to make sure I deliver the best service. Per year I photograph about 20 full-day weddings and 35-40 elopements.
3. How would you describe your photography style?
My style is called "fine art photography", which means light, airy and timeless photos taken on film. I try to combine photojournalistic and editorial approach in my work. I really love natural candid photos, but I can also help my clients with poses if they want. I shoot both film and digital, and then match my digital images to film scans.
4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
As early as possible, epsecially if you're interested in a weekend date. My couples usually book me 1-2 years in advance, but sometimes I have a last-minute availability. I still have some available dates in 2021 & 2022, please inquire to see if I'm available on your date.
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
I currently offer three packages and some a la carte options. My most popular collection includes 8 hours of wedding coverage, an engagement session, and an online gallery with a download option. If my packages don't fit your needs or budget, I'd be glad to create a custom package for you. Please inquire for more details.
6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
I currently don't offer "associate photographer" packages and usually work by myself with one non-shooting assistant, but a second shooter is always available as an a la carte option.
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
A travel fee may apply to locations and weddings that require an overnight stay or a drive longer than 2 hours from San Francisco. Travel fees cover lodging, gas or airlplane tickets, transfer, and other necessary expenses. I don't charge travel fees to Los Angeles though, so please feel free to reach out if you plan a wedding there!
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
I deliver digital images via an online gallery with a download password. Prints and photo albums are available as a la carte options.
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?
I deliver images in high resolution without watermark via a beautiful online gallery with a download password within two weeks after engagement session and within six weeks after the wedding.
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
I have a strict cancellation policy (a 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure the date) and unfortunately I don't offer refunds unless there was a breach of contract from my side (which luckily never happened), but my rescheduling policy is pretty flexible. I always try to accomodate my clients and to offer the best possible solution.
