1. Introduction: What's your story?
My name is Erin Winter Raymond, and I am the founder and lead photographer at Erin Winter Photography LLC. My love for photography began when I was a child, and has only blossomed since!
While I also photograph families, my passion is in Wedding Photography. There is just something so beautiful about the love, joy, and personal details that are associated with weddings, and I truly find it a high honor to capture the day for you!
In addition to being your photographer, I am also a mom, military wife, equestrian, and an animal lover (we currently share our life with two dogs and a cat!)
2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?
I have been shooting elopements and weddings since 2019 and have loved every minute of it! Be sure to check out some of my featured wedding galleries on my website, as well as follow along on Instagram to see my latest work!
3. How would you describe your photography style?
Colorful. Chic. Timeless.
My photography style emphasizes on capturing you and your fiancé, just as you are, in a way that will never go out of style. I provide enough posing guidance to ensure you feel comfortable in front of the camera, while also providing unique "prompts" that allow me to photograph the candid beauty of your relationship. There will be laughing, smiling, displays of affection, and just maybe a tear or two (of happiness.)
My editing style is based on the aesthetic of film photography, with a focus on highlighting beautiful and authentic colors. I also love the classic style of black and white photography, and deliver a combination of both color and B+W.
4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
The peak wedding seasons are in late spring (end of March - May) and again in the fall (August - November.) While I have more flexibility during the other months, regardless of your wedding date, I recommend booking your wedding photographer 12-16mo in advance. Planning a last minute wedding? Please still reach out and see if I am available!
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
My standard collection starts with 8hrs of coverage, however more coverage can be added on. Regardless of your length of coverage, I always include all of the best images from your day.
Engagement sessions are also ~50% off when booked with a wedding - this is a great opportunity to get to know each other, and for you to practice in front of the camera (aka, realize that we actually have a lot of fun!)
Your wedding collection can be uniquely customized to meet your needs. This may mean: adding a second shooter, more or less coverage, inclusion of products (albums, prints, etc.) a pre-wedding boudoir session, etc. Packages may also be altered to meet certain budgetary needs... let's chat!
6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
I am the lead and primary shooter for Erin Winter Photography and will be shooting your wedding day! If you decide to add on a second shooter, the second photographer will be chosen based on availability from my list of other awesome professionals.
All photos are edited by Erin Winter Photography in the style represented via my website - colorful, chic, timeless, and stunning!
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
There is a travel "fee" for weddings outside of an ~80mi radius from my home near Washington DC. Unsure if your venue qualifies for a travel fee or not? Just ask! I'm also always open to travel, and love exploring new destinations.
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
Albums and prints are not included in my standard collection, but artwork credit is heavily discounted when purchased prior to the wedding! Your online gallery will be directly linked to my print shop where you can purchase professional quality prints, albums, canvases (and more) from your wedding. This artwork can be purchased using your pre-purchased artwork credit, or can be purchased a la carte. Fully customized heirloom photo albums are also available for purchase.
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?
Galleries will be delivered via the private, online gallery within 8 weeks of the wedding! Because I understand wanting to share the joy with friends and family, I do try to provide a "sneak peak" with select photos within 72hrs of your wedding.
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
In order to book Erin Winter Photography, a non-refundable retainer will be placed at the time of booking. This is 30% of the package price, with the remaining 70% due 30 days prior to the wedding. In the even of a cancellation, the retainer will not be refunded, but can be applied to a different session at a later date.
(All of these boring, but important, details will be clearly detailed in your contract!)
