1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi, I am Gemali Martinez, everyone calls me Gema. I am a lifestyle wedding and family photographer based in Tampa Florida. I love documenting love stories and creating beautiful memories for families.
2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?
I started as a family photographer 5 years ago and started photographing weddings 3 years ago. I have done approximately 30 weddings.
3. How would you describe your photography style?
As a lifestyle photographer, my style is more candid and interactive. I love to capture those genuine moments between my couples and families. I usually guide and pose my clients and provide them with things to do in order to capture those real smiles.
4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
Hiring a wedding photographer is so important, this is why I always recommend booking your wedding photographer as soon as your wedding venue is booked. My busiest months are from September-May, this is when I get the most weddings booked since the weather in Florida is the most favorable in those months. I highly suggest booking your wedding photographer at least 9-12 months in advance. In order to provide a fast delivery time and the best level of service to my couples, I only schedule a very limited amount of weddings per month.
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
I have a variety of packages depending on how many hours of coverage my couples are looking for. My most recommended package is the 8-hour collection which allows me to capture getting-ready photos, first look, ceremony, formal portraits, and pictures at the reception. All of my packages include all the images from the wedding day beautifully edited in high resolution, a private gallery where you can view, share and print your photos, and an engagement session included. Each collection has the option if you want to add a second photographer and a videographer at an additional cost.
6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
I will be the main photographer on your wedding day, I usually carry two cameras so I can move quickly especially during the ceremony without having to change my lenses. Most of the time I come with my assistant that helps me with my gear. If you selected a second photographer or videographer we work together to make sure we are not in each other's photos and to capture the best angles during your wedding day.
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
I travel to surrounding locations like Sarasota, Naples, Dade City, etc. My travel fees start after an hour of drive from Tampa Florida.
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
Albums or prints are not included in my wedding packages, However, through your gallery, you are able to order any prints through a professional printing lab.
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?
After your wedding day, you will receive a sneak peek within 24-48 hours. Your complete gallery will be delivered no later than 3-4 weeks, but most of the time I deliver them way sooner. Your images will be delivered through an online gallery with a print release.
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
Once your wedding has been booked and completed the final payment is non-refundable as it covers the time and skills invested up to and through that point. Please make sure that the style shown on my portfolio is the right fit for you before you book your day.
