1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi, my name is Marylou, I'm a lifelong artist and PA native. I've lived in six states (currently NC) with my husband and owe all my creativity to my awesome and humble parents. Relationships are everything to me. I love healthy eating, lot's of coffee and Turkish tea and am obsessed with the water. I am an Advanced Open Water PADI diver and dream of living on a sailboat one day on the Aegean Sea.
2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?
I've been shooting weddings both domestic and abroad for 11 years and have photographed hundreds of weddings. I feel incredibly lucky to have made art into a career and cherish every second of capturing the love and authenticity I see at weddings. I'm eternally thankful to the couples who choose me to tell their story. I have taught the Business of Wedding Photography at the Light Factory photographic museum in Charlotte, NC to help other photographers make their dream of being a full-time wedding photographer become a reality.
3. How would you describe your photography style?
My Style Notes: Artful, timeless, relaxed storytelling. I'll lead you into the beautiful light...I'll compose you thoughtfully and with beauty in mind.. but most of all I'm seeking all the feels you and your loved ones are giving off on your day. My goal is leave you speechless over your wedding photos.
4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
Typically one year in advance is best.
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
I offer a few different packages depending on the size and location of your wedding. I shoot many destination weddings and therefore cost is often dependent on the location the wedding is and expenses involved. I am very flexible and work with couples to find a package that suits them. Elopement photography begins with 3 hours of coverage and I have a package with many items included for up to 12 hours with two shooters.
6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
Yes, the work you see on my website is all my own and I never have another person/associate as the main photographer of your day. I hire a second shooter if your package requires it to capture some of the details and be where I cannot physically be if the timeline requires.
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
Yes, everything is outlined in the information sent to you once you provide me with the details of your wedding. Travel fees depend on the location and expenses of the individual location. Charges are for airfare and accommodations.
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
Some packages include albums and prints are always an option for purchase. I gift my clients with some favorite prints post wedding.
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?
My contract says approximately 4 weeks and sneak peeks are given within the first week to share.
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
My contract outlines a more in depth policy, however with COVID, appropriations have been made to ensure I can accommodate new dates/changes as much as possible with no additional charges. Cancellations must be made in writing prior to the event.
