1. Introduction: What's your story?
We are The Nixons!
We are a husband and wife photography duo! A DJ friend used to always say, "Well, there are the Nixons" and it stuck!
We have been photographing weddings since 2004 and love what we do. We love the personal connection we make with every couple and the amazing memories that we get to document during their wedding day!
2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?
We have been shooting weddings since 2004... and gosh that is a lot of weddings!
We would say close to 500.
3. How would you describe your photography style?
We are not your typical run-of-the-mill stuffy wedding photography service. We focus on cinematic portraiture, meaning that we incorporate movement and fashion-inspired posing and lighting into our work for a breathtaking experience
4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
We usually book 10-18 months in advance
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
We always include 2 photographers, an engagement session, and your photos on a flash drive with a credit for one of our heirloom wedding albums.
Most brides choose 8 hours worth of wedding coverage.
6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
We are usually together, but on occasion, we split up and shoot with other second photographers.
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
We charge a travel fee for a wedding more than 3 hours away.
That fee is 1-2 nights hotel stay and the national mileage rate for travel each way.
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
We include a credit to be used on an album of your choice.
Since we know that everyone likes their own thing, we allow you the opportunity to choose your favorite.
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?
Our photos are delivered in 30 days or less
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
We require a nonrefundable retainer fee of $500
If your wedding is cancelled in more than 60 days before the event, there is no cancellation fee.
And we offer reschedules at no charge, IF we have the new date available.
