1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hello! It's so good to have you here. I'm Anna Brace, an Photographer who specializes in Omaha Wedding Photography!
I fell in love with looking at photos in my parents attic, but it wasn't till I was 14 that I got my own camera. I documented everything with that thing. I upgraded gear, grew up, and photographed my first wedding. It was then that I fell in love with photographing weddings. Its such an honor to document someone's love story. Photographs have a way of capturing a person's legacy, and that drives my passion for wedding photography.
Since that day 9 years ago, I’ve had the privilege of photographing wedding after wedding and capturing memories for over 50 couples. The photos I take are priceless to my couples and their family because they tell a story.
That storytelling is what drives me as a wedding photographer, and photographing couple's on the best day of their lives will never grow old.
2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?
I photographed my first wedding 9 years ago. It took be a few years after that to decide to go for wedding photography full time. I only photograph 20 weddings a year so that I can best invest in and take care of my couples. I've photographed over 75 weddings and I'm excited for another year full of weddings!
3. How would you describe your photography style?
I am heavily inspired by the photo journalistic style of photography, but I do understand the value of a good, posed portrait. I edit true to color so that your photographs will never go out of style.
I am a firm believer in photographing moments as they happen instead of stopping them mid-moment to fix a hair or get better lighting. Moments always happen during the in-between times, so I always strive to be ready at a moments notice to stop and take a photo.
4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
Couple's should definitely start looking more than a year out for their photographer! Certain days of the year are always the most popular, and once they're gone, they're gone. As soon as you get engaged, reach out to your top 5 photographers and start conversations with them to see if you're a good fit!
Usually, for me, May, June, September and October get booked first. If there's a specific date that would be easier to remember (think 2/2/22, or 10/10/20) those usually get booked far in advance.
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
I offer three different packages. One package is geared towards smaller weddings with less guests and 6 hours. It makes a great fit for courthouse weddings or elopements! My middle package is perfect for weddings that happen at one wedding venue. It includes 8 Horus and an engagement session! My last package is perfect for weddings that happen at multiple locations with lots of guest! You'll receive a second photographer, longer engagement session and all the perks.
My last package is definitely my most popular because folks tend to want their entire day covered, from getting ready, to grand exit!
6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
I am the only photographer on my team. When you've hired me and my business for your wedding, you can rest assured that I will be the one showing up to photograph your day.
I do however have a short list of second photographers who I'll bring along if you want! They're well trained and I would trust them to shoot my own wedding.
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
I offer 60 free miles of travel, which includes the Omaha area, and then the surrounding hour outside Omaha! I do travel to Des Moines quite often, as well as several different States each year! I'm always up for an adventure, and adventure engagement sessions are my favorite if you cannot do a destination wedding!
Travel outside of my free travel radius is $.57 a mile. Weddings that are over 7 hours away have a different set of pricing - do to the greater time commitment.
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
Albums are such an important finishing piece of a wedding day! You receive all these beautiful images, only for them to live online and never make it out of a computer. Printing photos is so important to me, so I include album credit so that you can know for sure you'll be getting a gorgeous heirloom album to pass on to your kids and grandkids!
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?
Waiting for my own wedding photos to be delivered was so challenging, and I understand the desire to see your photos quickly! I deliver all weddings within 6 weeks of your wedding and even send over some sneak peeks within 24 hours!
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
Cancelations or transfers are a hard thing to talk about when it comes to weddings, but, as we're all aware (especially after the pandemic!) Transfers and cancelations do happen. If you have to move your wedding date, we just transfer everything to your new date!
I do require a non-refundable retainer to save any date. And my cancelation policy, transfer policy, as well as my refund policy is all laid out in a contract that I'll share when we meet - so feel free to ask any and all hard questions.
