1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hey Tiago, who are you?

Well, to be honest, I like more the idea of having questions in mind than having a lot of answers. This is part of who I am, and because of all these questions, I'm driven to look for new cultures, places, movies, sounds, flavors. I'm a very curious guy and have a loud mind. I'm always changing, sometimes because I want and other times life pushes me to change.

Of course, I have some obvious answers to help me know who I am: I'm the father of an amazing guy who loves soccer, smart as f*ck, and so adorable, I'm the youngest son of a woman that showed to me, to my sister and to my brother, that you can be sweet and kind for life and smile while you are tough and face hard times, as when we lost our dad. Thank you for everything mom, I love you so much!

Why do I take pictures? Well, for this I already have some answers despite the time gives me more and takes them away as well. But the main reason is here inside my heart since the first click. The camera is the perfect excuse to be in places I would not be allowed to be without it and in these places I make amazing connections. Sometimes they last only for a day, sometimes we take them for life. But all of them are beautiful and make my heart beat strong. I love taking pictures of people and their connections. That's why I am a photographer.

I’m from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I love traveling. On one of these trips around the globe, life brought me to Las Vegas, surrounded by deserts, the opposite of Rio with so many amazing beaches. I felt a strong connection to this place I call home now. So many creative people, literally from the whole world, come here to live or visit every day. I found my second half here, Robyn. My love and partner! She is my ground and also takes my mind to space. This awesome woman also gave me the gift of having two awesome guys in my life with whom I learn and share great experiences with.

This is part of who I am today. Part of my life. Part of my photography. I can't wait for what tomorrow can bring us.

2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?

I've been photographing weddings since 2015 and have done over 200 total since then.

3. How would you describe your photography style?

I would say, romantic photojournalist. My focus is on capturing moments throughout the day as they happen versus styling shots with precise lighting and posing. This style of wedding photography gets its name because of its similarity to the way photojournalists cover everyday news stories—by relying on candid moments versus orchestrating them but I’ll do some posed pictures too for sure.

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?

The ideal time to book is roughly one year before your wedding date, give or take. You may even want to book 18 months in advance for first dibs on your ideal wedding date, especially if you want a prime holiday weekend, a special number date, or any Saturday in the spring or fall.

The most popular wedding months in Las vegas are April-May and September-October. My spring is usually completely booked by December and my fall is usually done by June, sometimes much earlier. I do have more openings for smaller weddings, elopements, and portrait sessions mid-week.

Winter and summer are the least busy seasons. Spring and fall book out the most.

5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

I have 3 wedding collections, ranging from $850-$3150 in price.

My wedding pricing starts at $850 for a 2-hour intimate wedding or elopement.
My a la carte hourly rate is $250/hour
My most popular package is my $1640 Rio collection, which includes 5 continuous hours of photography coverage.
I offer engagement photos starting at $425 and I also have wedding collections that include them.

6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?

I currently photograph all my weddings by myself, although I do offer wedding packages with a second photographer if you want one. I love photographing weddings alone because it allows me to be fully present as an individual, and more seamlessly slip into the day to tell the story more authentically. I only really need a second photographer for weddings with over 150 or 200 guests.

7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

Usually yes, but since I love traveling, know about different cultures and with the pandemic, everyone got impacted somehow and visiting other places wasn't an option, I decided to start a project to have weddings all over the US so there are no travel fees for now.

8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?

My Barcelona wedding collection includes an album credit to create a beautiful, leather or linen archival book from your wedding day.

Prints are always a la carte through my online galleries and can be ordered at any time!

9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?

I typically deliver weddings in 1-2 weeks. The maximum time on any contract is 30 days.

I provide 5-10 edited sneak peeks within 72 hours of the wedding, and then deliver 500-1500 edited wedding photos in an online gallery when I'm done. The photos are high res and you can download them directly from the gallery to share with friends or family. You can also order prints directly through the gallery if you want!

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

If you flat-out cancel your wedding, the deposit is non-refundable.

If you move your wedding to a new date, and I am available, we can transfer the deposit to the new date, no problem.

If you move your wedding to a new date, and I am NOT available, you can either forfeit the deposit, OR I can hire an associate photographer to photograph the wedding in my place, and I will continue to edit the images myself in my same style. So you still get a Tiago Pinheiro Photography experience, just with a different photographer on the day of.
