1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi there! I'm Amanda of Amanda Celis Photography. I've been a professional photographer in and around Cleveland, Ohio since 2016.
I didn't take the direct route to the world of wedding photography, but I learned a tremendous amount about myself during the detour. I wrote greeting cards for a decade, and while I was at my corporate job, I realized that I'm the best version of myself when I'm making people happy—and the joy I'm able to bring to my clients is astronomical!
My clients are in good hands from beginning to end. Not only do I deliver a gallery of photos that makes my couples laugh and cry, but I help build a timeline for the day; happily recommend florists, makeup artists, and bakeries I've worked with in the past; and radiate happiness and serenity on wedding days to keep those wedding-day nerves at bay.
I feel in my heart that I've found my calling.
2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?
I've been documenting memories since 2016 and have photographed at least 30 weddings. I only book a small number of weddings per year to ensure my clients get the one-on-one attention they deserve from me.
3. How would you describe your photography style?
I always strive for authenticity in my work! I can't stand anything too staged or forced, but I never leave my clients just standing there, wondering what the heck to do with themselves. My galleries end up being a 50/50 mix of candid images and realistically-posed portraits that embodies deep emotion, joy, and a little bit of silliness.
My delivered photos are pretty true-to-life in color and brightness, featuring a touch of depth and warmth—and are edited in an aesthetic that will never go out of style.
4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
Book as soon as you can! I always recommend that couples book with me at least a year in advance, even closer to 2 years for June and October weddings, which are very popular months.
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
My prices range from $2000 to $4600. My most popular collection is $3200, which includes an engagement session, and two photographers for eight hours on the wedding day. I'm happy to chat regarding pricing, and I love designing custom collections to ensure my couples receive exactly what they're looking for from their wedding photographer!
6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
I live for wedding days! I love the excitement in the air, and I'll never get over what an honor it is to be able to document the start of a couple's forever.
I'm the lead photographer for every wedding. If a couple chooses a collection that includes a second photographer, they can rest assured that I only bring the best with me.
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
I charge a reasonable travel fee for anything farther from Cleveland than a 2-hour drive.
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
My largest collection includes an album, and adding on print products is an option for all of my collections.
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?
Approximately six weeks after the wedding, I deliver an online gallery of expertly-edited low-resolution images. Once we've agreed that every image is perfect, I mail out a pretty USB of all hi-res edited photos.
I deliver an average of 1,000 photos per wedding.
All of my collections include a handful of next-day sneak peeks!
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
I don't refund for people who simply change their minds about hiring me, but I'm a human being first and a business owner second—and would never take advantage of a couple during hard times.
