1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hello! We are Chad and Brie Photography and we are photographers based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. My husband and I started our business when we got married in 2015. We had a destination wedding on the beach and decided to buy a nice camera and capture some of those special moments ourselves. The idea of getting out of the corporate world and being able to work on a more flexible schedule was especially intriguing for Chad. We started to learn more and more about photography, lighting, composition etc. and we began to get work shooting families and weddings.
We enjoy meeting new people and capturing those unexpected and intimate moments that happen throughout their wedding day. It is important for us to make connections with our clients and create an open, comfortable environment, whether they prefer a more quiet, intimate atmosphere or indulge in a wild, loud and care-free setting. We can adapt to our clients' personalities as needed. We want to blend in with the environment as much as possible in order to capture their day in a way that is authentic to who they are.
We feel so lucky to work with all of our clients. We are grateful for any opportunity given to us to shoot beautiful couples from all types of backgrounds. Meeting people with varying lifestyles, experiences and cultures gives us the opportunity to continue to learn new things and become the best versions of ourselves which allows us to continually grow in our photography.
2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?
We started shooting weddings in 2015. We shoot anywhere from 25 to 40 weddings per year. Our busiest time of the year in Oklahoma is between April and November.
3. How would you describe your photography style?
The best word to describe our style is TIMELESS. We offer multiple styles that include both natural and commercial lighting techniques. We like our photos to have an authentic and natural color pallet. We also enjoy using lighting to create a moody vibe or to make things stand out just a bit more. Chad really enjoys playing with lighting and using that to be creative with our work.
4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?
We suggest reaching out to your photographer as soon as you know your wedding date. We tend to get booked up pretty quickly, especially during the peak months of April to November. The fall season in Oklahoma is definitely our busiest time. It's also import to pick the right photographer. Reaching out as soon as possible allows you to get the information you need and make sure you are picking the photographer that you feel is the best fit for what you are looking for. We enjoy meeting with potential clients before booking so we can all get to know each other as well as talk in person about their wedding day. As much as we would love to work with almost any couple, we also want to be sure that we are a good fit for our clients as well.
5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
We offer packages starting from $300 for a one hour session to our full day package for $2000 which includes 8 hours of shooting, an engagement session and a custom wedding box for keepsakes. All of our packages include two photographers, an online gallery with a specified minimum number of photos depending on hours purchased and print release. We offer prints through our online gallery as well as canvases starting at $75. All packages can also be customized to meet the needs of our clients. Additional add-ons include an engagement session, a bridal session as well as drone photography.
Our most popular package is our full day Diamond Package. This package allows for time to capture everything from getting ready to the formal exit. Most of our clients want us there to capture all aspects of their day.
6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?
Chad and I are the photographers who will be shooting every wedding. Chad is the main photographer who will get most of the prime shots and angles, while I get secondary shots. Chad and I work together throughout the entire day. When shooting wedding party portraits and photos of the bride and groom together, Chad does most of the shooting while I help to pose, prompt and perfect. Chad stays behind the lens and I help to get people in the right place to capture the mood of the moment. I also help with lighting when doing shots that require extra lights around the subject. Occasionally we will hire an assistant to help when additional services when required.
7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?
We charge a destination fee outside of Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The fee varies based on the package purchased and distance traveled.
8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?
We offer prints through our online gallery that uses a professional print lab. Prints come in a variety of sizes as well as canvases and keepsakes. The prices are equivalent to your local professional print lab.
9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?
Delivery takes anywhere from a few days to up to six weeks depending on the package purchased. On average, our turn around time is between 2-4 weeks. We deliver our pictures through an online gallery. This allows clients to easily download and share with friends and family. They can also print from the gallery as well. This makes it very easy to view and print whichever pictures they love the most. We also offer other options like USB or CD upon request.
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
We ask for a 20% deposit to save the date. The deposit is non-refundable. If a client needs to reschedule their date, the deposit can be transferred to the new date assuming availability, with no fee. If they need to cancel completely, we keep the deposit, however it can be applied to a different session at a later date if needed.
