1. Introduction: What's your story?

Hello lovebirds! I’m Kellie Kay, the founder and lead photographer of Kelliekayphotos. My adventure into the world of photography began over 13 years ago, inspired by a deep love for capturing life's most cherished moments. In 2019, my fiancé and I took the plunge to start our full-time wedding and event photography business, combining our talents to create unforgettable memories for our clients.

On a personal note, I'm a proud mom to an energetic 11-year-old boy named Jasper. Our family is passionate about anime, and we love attending anime conventions together throughout the year ( psst. You should be watching Demon Slayer ). My husband and I share a loud love for the band "Bring Me the Horizon," and we both enjoy a good dark comedy. I also have a deep appreciation for horror movies and grew up watching many of the classic's, but I could go on all day about how amazing some of the new-age horror movies are!

We’re a family that values quality time, whether it's traveling to new destinations, camping under a big night sky full of stars, or enjoying our nightly tradition of watching a show together during dinner. 2. How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed?

I've been shooting weddings for over 13 years, and since starting my full-time wedding photography business in 2019, I have had the privilege of photographing over 100 weddings. Each wedding has been a unique and wonderful experience, allowing me to capture the special moments that make each couple's day truly memorable.

3. How would you describe your photography style?

My photography style combines classic elegance with a touch of moody and dramatic flair. I focus on capturing authentic moments in a photojournalistic way, while also incorporating fine art elements to create timeless, beautifully composed images. My goal is to deliver a blend of light and airy shots with rich atmospheric portraits that reflect the true essence of your wedding day.

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding photographer?

Couples should aim to book their wedding photographer at least 9 to 12 months in advance. This allows ample time to secure your preferred date, plan out the details, and ensure you have the best chance of working with the photographer who aligns perfectly with your vision for the big day. Booking early also helps avoid any last-minute stress and gives you plenty of time to coordinate your photography needs and preferences. Our peak booking months are typically from Jan to April, as many couples plan their weddings for the busy summer and fall months. Weekends and months from May to October tend to fill up quickly due to the high volume of weddings during these times. Saturdays, in particular, are very popular, so booking early is crucial if you have a specific date in mind.

5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

We offer four distinct wedding packages, each designed to cater to different needs and preferences.

Our top-tier offering is "Destination Wedding Package 1", priced at $10,000. This package is ideal for couples planning an exotic out-of-country wedding. It includes a complimentary engagement session with over 50 images. You’ll receive 4,000+ high-resolution, color-corrected digitals, which are ready for social media. For the album, we provide 70 detailed edits, and our clients have significant control over how these album edits are made. We also cover travel to any destination and extend our stay to ensure we capture every special moment. Additionally, a second shooter is included to capture multiple angles and candid moments throughout the day.

"Destination Wedding Package 2", priced at $7,800, is perfect for out-of-state weddings. This package includes a complimentary engagement session with over 50 images, 2,000+ color-corrected digitals ready for social media, and 40 detailed album edits. Like our top package, it also includes a second shooter and full-day coverage to ensure we capture every important moment.

For larger weddings, we recommend "Package 3", which is $6,500 and ideal for 200-300 guests. It includes a complimentary engagement session with 20+ images, 1,500 color-corrected digitals, and 20 detailed album edits. This package provides 12 hours of coverage, a sneak peek of some of the best shots shortly after the event, and an additional 8 hours of coverage from a second shooter, including 10 album edits. We also offer additional hours at $250 per hour.

For more intimate weddings with 40-100 guests, "Package 4" is a great choice at $3,500. This package includes 500 color-corrected digitals and 10 detailed album edits. We provide 8 hours of coverage, and a second shooter for 5 hours, including 5 album edits. Additional hours are also available at $250 per hour.

Color-corrected images are professionally edited to be social media-ready, ensuring they look their best online. Album edits are more detailed, and we give our clients more control over how these edits are made, allowing them to personalize their wedding album to their liking.

Videography Services

All videography services are provided by Jesse Demar. Our comprehensive videography package is priced at $4,100 and includes:

- Complimentary Drone Footage of the Venue: Capture stunning aerial views of your venue (weather permitting).
- 4-6 Minute HD Video: A beautifully edited highlight reel of your wedding day.
- 1 Minute Social Media Trailer: A short, engaging trailer perfect for sharing on social media.
- Digital Download: Easy access to your videos for downloading and sharing.
- Special Audio: Highlights of vows and toasts to add a personal touch to your video.
- 9 Hours of Coverage: Extensive coverage to capture all the important moments of your day.

Additional hours are available at $250 per hour. Please note, this videography service is not available on weekdays (Monday - Thursday).

We provide high-resolution JPG images to our clients. We do not turn over RAW images, and here’s why:

• High-Resolution JPGs: Our high-resolution images are delivered at 300dpi with dimensions of W:6,016 and H:4,016. These JPGs are ready for printing and can be used to create stunning prints and albums.
• Web Sizes Available: We also provide web-sized versions of your photos, ensuring they are optimized for online use without compromising quality.

Why We Don’t Provide RAW Images: RAW images are unprocessed files that require specialized software and skills to edit. By providing high-resolution JPGs, we ensure that every image you receive has been professionally edited and color-corrected, ready for immediate use. This not only maintains the quality and consistency of our work but also ensures that your photos look their best in any format, whether printed or shared online.

6. Are you the wedding photographer who will be shooting on the wedding day? Who else is there in your team?

I am the primary wedding photographer who will be shooting on your wedding day. I take great pride in personally capturing the special moments of each wedding to ensure that every detail is beautifully preserved. In addition to myself, we network within our community and have a team of second shooters ready and available to assist. These second shooters are experienced professionals who help capture multiple angles and candid moments, providing a more comprehensive coverage of your wedding day. By working with a dedicated team, we ensure that no moment goes unnoticed and that you receive a collection of stunning, high-quality photos that tell the complete story of your special day.

7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

Given that many of our weddings occur in diverse locations throughout Texas, we need to account for the travel distance required to reach your venue. To ensure that we can be present to capture every moment of your special day, regardless of the distance, we apply a modest travel fee. We charge $0.57 per mile for round-trip travel from our location to your event location. This helps us cover transportation costs and allows us to provide the best service possible, no matter where your wedding takes place.

8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?

Our packages include digital albums hosted on pixieset.com. Through Pixieset, you have access to a convenient online store where you can order prints directly. This allows you to select and purchase the prints you want, ensuring you receive high-quality images in the format that best suits your needs.

9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the images? How will they be delivered?

Couples will receive their wedding images within 17-21 weeks after the wedding. The exact deadline for final delivery will be specified in your contract. The digital album will be delivered via email through Pixieset.com. This email will include your package details and instructions to help you choose your album edits, ensuring a smooth and convenient process for you to receive and enjoy your photos.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION:

4.1 Reservation Requirements: In order to secure the designated Event dates, the Client shall fulfill the contractual obligation by providing a signed agreement along with a non-refundable deposit. It is expressly understood that refunds will not be issued for payments made under a payment plan. This policy is applicable to cancellations not stemming from a partner's death or terminal illness.

4.2 Client-Initiated Changes or Cancellations: In the event of changes or cancellations initiated by the Client, the non-refundable deposit shall be considered as liquidated damages to Kellie Kay. The Client shall additionally assume responsibility for any out-of-pocket expenses incurred by Kellie Kay, including but not limited to travel costs and material charges.

4.3 Postponement or Rescheduling Collaboration: Should the Client opt for a postponement or rescheduling, Kellie Kay is open to collaboration provided both parties mutually agree on an alternative date that does not conflict with existing bookings.

4.4 Cancellation within 1 Month of the Event: If the Client decides to cancel this agreement within 1 month of the Event, Kellie Kay shall retain all payments made up to that point. Exceptions to this provision are allowed in cases where the cancellation is attributed to the death or terminal illness of the partner. In such circumstances, the Client may retain the remaining balance owed.

4.5 Remaining Payments in Payment Plan: In the event of cancellation within 1 month of the Event, any remaining payments within the payment plan will not be withheld. Kellie Kay will initiate the account closure process, allowing the Client to retain the outstanding balance.

4.6 Understanding and Flexibility: This policy emphasizes understanding and flexibility, particularly in exigent circumstances such as the partner's death or terminal illness. Kellie Kay commits to working compassionately with the Client in such cases.
