1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi! I'm Erin Clayborne, owner and lead planner at Roses and Rings Wedding Planning. I have been planning events for over 10 years and I am passionate about helping people. I love to work with couples to create carefully cultivated celebrations that are wonderfully designed, flow seamlessly, and reflect their love story.
2. What's your experience as a wedding planner? How many weddings have you planned?
I have been planning events for 10 years, but I started my dream job of planning weddings in 2019. I have planned over 30 weddings since then, and my 2022 schedule is booking up fast. I love challenging tradition and helping couples create a wedding that is uniquely theirs. You should love everything about your engagement and wedding. I LOVE seeing visions come to life and more than that I love seeing the marriage that comes after the wedding and staying friends with the couples. This is the best job ever!
3. What sorts of services do you offer (month-of coordination, full-service planning, or à la carte planning)?
We believe in sticking to your budget, while also having an AMAZING wedding. All of our packages are completely customizable, so we start by chatting about your priorities, vision and budget and we customize a package to fit your needs. We offer everything from timeline creation and elopements to month of coordination and full service wedding planning.
4. How do payments work (a percentage of the wedding budget, a flat fee etc.)? What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
We only require a $100 deposit to reserve your date, and then the rest is due 8 weeks before the big day! Our packages range from $600 to $2,500. Our most popular package is month of coordination. You get the best of both worlds with all the support and affordability.
5. Who else is in your team and how many people on your staff will be at the wedding?
We always have a lead planner and an assistant at every wedding!
6. What happens if you're sick or otherwise unable to be there on the day of the wedding?
Incase of an emergency, we will send another lead planner. Incase a lead planner cannot make it, we will send an assistant (who are all very qualified and on their way to becoming a lead planner).
7. How many meetings will you have with the couple and how will they be involved?
We LOVE the planning process. We give all our clients a 20+ page wedding planning checklist and workbook so that no details are forgotten. The number of meetings will depend on which package is booked. Generally we do two planning meetings with our coordination clients and at least six with our full planning clients. We have a WONDERFUL recommended vendor list! We always review vendor contract with our clients so they can feel confident that they are booking reputable, amazing vendors. All of our clients have access to unlimited email advice as well. We are here every step of the way!
8. Will you handle the invitations, from wording and ordering to the addressing and mailing? What about guest list coordination and RSVPs?
We will help couples make decisions on their guest list, pick a system for address collection (we like Minted), word the invitations, and make sure the design is cohesive with their overall wedding design. We will point them to our favorite websites to order online (we love Zola), or find a stationer and calligrapher. Our favorite system for RSVP's is using a website like The Knot, because it is so user friendly and both the wedding planner and the couple can have the log in information.
9. Do you handle rentals? Will you coordinate delivery, arrival and set up times with the photographer, the florist, the musicians and the caterer/banquet manager?
We have some amazing rental companies we love to work with. We coordinate EVERYTHING on the day of the wedding, including when each vendor arrives and where they should set up.
10. Can you create a timeline that tells everyone involved in the planning process (other pros, members of the wedding party, to-be-weds and families) what to do and when to do it? How will you make sure everyone sticks to the schedule?
YES! A million times yes. We create a detailed timeline and share it with all of the vendors, wedding party and family. On the day of we check things off as we go and ensure everything happens on time and runs smoothly.
