1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi! My name is Emma and I am the lead planner and designer of Émerveillé Events. My love of natural and ethereal elements paired with modern sophistication is evident in throughout my work, and I am committed to helping couples start their marriages off on the right foot by allowing them to focus on each other and their loved ones. As the founder of Émerveillé Events, I oversee all aspects of wedding and event design.
2. What's your experience as a wedding planner? How many weddings have you planned?
Prior to becoming a wedding planner, I had the opportunity to serve in the weddings and events industry in several different areas including catering and floral design. I love overseeing the details behind an event, especially when getting to see the vision come altogether. Once I made the decision to become a wedding planner full time, I jumped immediately into taking wedding planning courses, design courses, and business courses. I have loved how my background in psychology has helped in my experience as a wedding planner, because at the core of planning a wedding is the love between two people. This combination of learning helped holistically shape how I desired to run my business and plan weddings. Seeing through the eyes of catering staff, floral design, and as a previous bride myself has helped me understand all that it takes to create a meaningful and intentional event to celebrate two people
3. What sorts of services do you offer (month-of coordination, full-service planning, or à la carte planning)?
Émerveillé Events offers several different wedding day packages. First, we offer Full Service Planning, which is for the couple who is recently engaged. This allows us to be a part of the planning and design process from the beginning and walk with you every single step of the way (or plan it for you from a shared vision). The second package is the Essentials Planning Package, which is for the couple who have made it part way through the planning process. This is great for the couple who have a vision for their wedding and have begun the planning process, but would love some help the remainder of the way. The third package is the Month of Coordination Package (sometimes called day of coordination). This is great for the couple who have planned their wedding, and want to ensure that their day of goes smoothly, so that they can have a stress free wedding day. We also offer an elopement package, for couples desiring for an intimate adventure. This takes the planning and design process off of the couple's plate and allows for them to enjoy their day to the fullest. Émerveillé Events also offers planning for other events, such as bridal showers, birthday parties, engagement parties, and so much more!
4. How do payments work (a percentage of the wedding budget, a flat fee etc.)? What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?
When paying for Émerveillé Events services, there is a base fee that is charged, and then after a certain point, it turns into a certain percentage of your overall wedding budget. This allows for services provided to meet minimum costs required to run a business and provide employees fair wages, while also accounting for the fact that larger budget weddings tend to have more moving pieces to make them excellent! Of our packages, our Full Service Planning Package and our Essentials Planning Package tend to be our two most popular planning packages
5. Who else is in your team and how many people on your staff will be at the wedding?
At Émerveillé Events, we specialize in creating bespoke wedding and event experiences that are elegant, sophisticated, and personalized to each client's unique vision. Our focus is on planning and designing modern events with intentionality, ensuring that every detail is carefully considered and executed seamlessly. Our commitment to exceptional service and attention to detail allows our clients to enjoy their special day to the fullest, with the confidence that their vision will be executed flawlessly. On wedding days, to achieve this vision, we have our Lead Coordinator Becca, and our Event Coordinators Wyatt, Kyle, and Jose. Whether it is two members of our team or our entire team, we are there execute your wedding day flawlessly
6. What happens if you're sick or otherwise unable to be there on the day of the wedding?
If sick or unable to be present on the wedding day, Émerveillé Events has a wonderful and talented team to step on the wedding day. Our team's attention to detail ensure that there are no things too small to go unnoticed, and this team has been personally vetted and trained to achieve success.
7. How many meetings will you have with the couple and how will they be involved?
In the beginning of the wedding planning process, every couple receives a complimentary consultation (what we like to refer to as the pre-consultation) so that we get to know each other a bit and I can hear about what you have envisioned for your wedding day. Once the contracts have been signed and the deposits paid, then for Full Service Planning we have a minimum of four meetings, plus any additional meetings as needed. For Wedding Management, we average around four meetings to insure that our team understands your vision fully and can carry out your wedding day with excellence.
For Full Service Planning, couples are encouraged to be a part of creating the vision for their wedding day so that their wedding is unique to them, and then the Émerveillé Team can oversee the details that will bring the vision to life.
For Wedding Management, couples are the primary planners of their weddings, while our team serves as consultants throughout the process, and then the Émerveillé Team becomes the primary point of contact for the professional team six weeks prior to the wedding day
8. Will you handle the invitations, from wording and ordering to the addressing and mailing? What about guest list coordination and RSVPs?
Here at Émerveillé Events, we are happy to assist with wording and ordering invitations. However, you know your guests best, so we ask that you oversee addressing and mailing the invitations (unless you desire our help with hiring a calligrapher to do so for you). From there, we are pleased to help assist with coordination of the guest list and overseeing RSVPs, but if Aunt Suzie has not responded, we are going to ask that you follow up with her as you know her best!
9. Do you handle rentals? Will you coordinate delivery, arrival and set up times with the photographer, the florist, the musicians and the caterer/banquet manager?
Because we do create the timeline and desire to work closely to all other vendors in ensuring that the timeline is best for you as a couple and for every vendor, we will coordinate delivery, arrival, set up, and tear down times with all vendors. We will not be responsible for picking up or delivering rentals, food, cakes, or other items for your wedding day as it takes away from the time that we have at the venue on the day.
10. Can you create a timeline that tells everyone involved in the planning process (other pros, members of the wedding party, to-be-weds and families) what to do and when to do it? How will you make sure everyone sticks to the schedule?
When creating a timeline, we create two timelines in total: a detailed timeline that is distributed to all vendors so that everyone is on the same page, and a timeline for the wedding party/couple that has major points throughout the wedding day that can then be communicated to other members of the family and wedding party. We believe that constant communication is how we ensure that the event runs smoothly, so in the week leading up as well on the day of, we will have constant touch points and follow ups so that everyone involved is on the same page.
