1. Introduction: What's your story?

My name is Sea Mo Alderman, I am the founder and owner of Sea Monstrosity Pictures. I am a filmmaker, I love approaching weddings like I'm shooting a documentary. I want to walk the line between catching the polished cinematic value of how much work was already put into the details of the wedding while still making a authentic home video.

2. How long have you been filming weddings? How many weddings have you filmed?

I've been filming weddings increasingly each year for almost a decade. I've probably shot around 100 weddings by now all over the country.

3. How would you describe your videography style?

My videography style has been described as looking like a staged documentary or an indie film.

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding videographer?

I've been booked anywhere from two years ahead of time to four weeks out. I understand that videography is a last second decision a lot of the time, photography usually takes precedence.

5. What are the different packages that you offer and which one is your most popular package?

All of my packages are the same with one difference, how long the final video will be. I use cinema terms: trailer, short, feature. The short, which is a video that ends up being around ten minutes, is my most popular package.

6. Are you the wedding videographer who will be filming on the wedding day? How many camera people and cameras will be operating on the day?

I will be the lead cinematographer on the day. It will always be me and one second shooter. Every once in a while I will also have an assistant or photographer but that is only if the couple arranges a custom package with me.

7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

I don't charge a travel fee in California.

8. How do you back-up your footage to ensure no footage is lost and for how long do you keep the footage after the wedding?

All of my packages include the raw footage, and that will be online for download for a year after the wedding.

9. How long after the wedding will the couple receive the video? And how will the video be delivered?

The video will be delivered as a digital download 4-6 weeks from the wedding date.

10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?

The deposit holding the shoot date is non-refundable.
