1. Introduction: What's your story?

Mxbloom Films is a wedding cinematography and photography company based in the Seattle area. Neil and Fiona, the co-owners of this business, are honored to be chosen to document the magic of your special day. 2. How long have you been filming weddings? How many weddings have you filmed?

I have been focusing on weddings since 2017, and have shot more than 90 weddings by July 2021.

3. How would you describe your videography style?

In our work, we always strive to capture those distinct moments that contain the essence of the story, its soul – whether in film or photography.

It could be a movement, a view, a detail, an expression, or all of them together. Composition, framing, and the use of light and shadow become the tools for me to create a coherent style, specific to each project, and thereby transport the atmosphere, the story, the characters.

4. How well in advance should couples book their wedding videographer?

The ideal time to book is roughly 5 to 19 months before your wedding date. You may even book 2 years in advance for an ideal wedding date, or any Saturday in the summer in the PNW area.

The most popular wedding months in Washington are June to October. My summer schedule is usually completely booked by February.

6. Are you the wedding videographer who will be filming on the wedding day? How many camera people and cameras will be operating on the day?

I lead to shooting both photography and videography for all of our weddings unless otherwise specified.

As you know we are a wife-husband team, we also have four other associate shooters and assistants. All of our associate cinematographers/photographers at our team have been trained by Neil on how to shoot in his style and work on a wedding team-based project. We like to think of ourselves as professional filmmakers and photographers who shoot weddings. Of course, we have many decent cameras and lenses.

7. Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? What does that cover?

We charge $0.56/miles for the locations further than 60 minutes. Hotel, air tickets, car rental fees, etc. depend on specific event.

8. How do you back-up your footage to ensure no footage is lost and for how long do you keep the footage after the wedding?

How to back-up to ensure no footage is absolutely lost is the priority task after shooting a wedding. We always double secure our footage and complimentary keep it for our couples 1 to 5 years depend on the packages.
