Sophia and her team at Graceful Beauty KC were absolutely phenomenal to work with. From the very beginning, Sophia was easy to reach and amazing at co...mmunicating. She clearly knows what she’s doing and made planning a breeze. She showed up on time and kept the schedule we had pre-planned together. She was fun, professional, and easy to talk to. She made me and all of my bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother in law all feel beautiful. Our makeup looked great and stayed put throughout a full day of outdoor photos, ceremony and reception! Would absolutely recommend Graceful Beauty KC to anyone looking for hair and makeup for any event, especially weddings.

Jaci, my makeup artist did an absolutely stellar job on my bridal makeup. ...My skin looked so good and the overall makeup was just so beautiful. My experience with Graceful Beauty KC during our wedding planning process was wonderful from start to finish. Communicating with Sophia during the ent...ire process was, as others mentioned, so very easy!

My bridesmaids hair styles as well as my hairstyle the day of our wedding turned out exactly as we hoped they would. The only change I would have made would be to have had my curls a little bit more loose and not so tightly pulled back for my half-up do, but this was 100% a personal preference and request I could have made but did not, so nothing whatsoever against Graceful Beauty and the stylists!

Communication with Sophia was a breeze! She was always quick to respond and so accommodating when a few members of my bridal party/family changed thei...r minds a few weeks out and wanted to have hair and make-up services after all. She was able to add a second artist and re do the day of schedule to accommodate everyone which was so kind of her. I was happy with my trial hair and make-up and eventually was happy with my day of services as well but was a little disappointed when my artist didn’t seem to remember the look we came up with. We were able to look at pictures and talk through what I was looking for in the moment. My hair was not turning out how the artist and I were thinking so she ended up taking it out and starting over which put us behind schedule but luckily the schedule Sophia created had some extra time built in and the photographer made up the rest of the time to get back on schedule. The final look we ended up with was beautiful and with the exception of a quick touch up on curls between pictures and the ceremony (we expected this because my hair doesn’t hold curl and took pictures outside on a windy day) everything stayed perfectly the whole day. The two artists were also very accommodating the day of when 4 extra girls asked for false lashes which was not originally planned - they helped without hesitation and did not charge me. Lastly, my mom is very picky and the artist who did her hair was very patient with her and helped her find a look she was happy with which is no small feat. Overall, I am happy with the services I received and would book through them again. I would just want to make sure the artist I worked with remembered what we talked about and did at the trial to make things go a little smoother with the hair. Make up was absolutely perfect!

From the first point of contact she was in...credibly nice and listened to everything I was thinking and wanting for my big day. Sophia and her team are awesome! I hired Graceful Beauty for my October 9th 2021 wedding and I’ll be honest when I had my trial I wasn’t super impressed the more I looked at my ha...ir and make up. I was nervous for my wedding because I did do my trial pretty early. The day of my wedding I expressed what I was looking for with different inspiration pictures and Sabrina nailed it! She did fabulous with my extensions and hair, and my makeup looked beautiful! It was worth every penny!!

I hired Graceful Beauty for my September 18th wedding! Sophia and her team (Copper and Jaci) did hair for 9 and makeup for 4.

It took 2 tries duri...ng the hair and makeup trial, but Sophia nailed the classy, timeless updo I envisioned. Sophia created a natural, but stunning makeup look on her first try!

In the months leading up to the wedding, Sophia stayed in touch. She created a color coded schedule that included the stylist and a time slot. I filled in bridal party names and sent pictures of their natural hair and requested hairstyles.

The day of the wedding, Graceful Beauty showed up on time at 11 am. At one point, we ran a little behind. Thankfully, there was extra time built into the schedule so we finished on time! Sophia paid careful attention to detail on my hair and makeup. My hair and makeup turned out perfectly and I couldn’t have felt more beautiful!

My wedding day was 90 degrees and sunny. However, Graceful Beauty’s makeup withstood tears and sweat. Normally, I have a shiny spot on my face, but Graceful Beauty’s makeup covered it up the whole night. During bride and groom pictures around 6 pm, my left eyelash started to fall off. Luckily, my MOH quickly fixed it before the reception. Additionally, pieces of my updo fell out while I was dancing, but it wasn’t noticeable in pictures.

Overall, working with Graceful Beauty was a wonderful experience and I’d recommend them for any special event you have coming up!

Communication with Sophia was awesome from the start! I was delightfully surprised when she first gave me her personal cell phone number to chat about... the details of my day! We also exchanged inspiration photos this way, which made it super easy for me!

I was offered a trial run through, and when it didn't turn out right with one artist, Sophia stepped in and saved the day. She personally did another trial with me, free of charge, and promised she would be there for me instead on the big day! For my eye shadow, we talked about matching the bridesmaid's dress color and adding in a shimmery gold touch to match with our wedding colors. It was so nice of her to take such interest and really collaborate with me in this way for the look.

They were early on the wedding day, ready and waiting for my girls and I to get in the chair, which was a relief, because we were crunched for time as it was at our getting ready venue.

The service was wonderful! Sophia double checked that I liked everything from the trial still and then got to work! When I looked in the mirror at the end, I felt stunning! It was perfect, in that it was glam for me, but still looked natural. (I don't typically wear much makeup.)

I felt so special after she finished up and couldn't wait for my Dad and my future husband to see how I looked!
