Price Range $1700 - $3700

Description

It can be overwhelming looking through all the zillions of wedding photographers websites we have here in Michigan.
After a while all the photographers might start to look the same, right?

What makes me different? Lots of things, but mainly that I am a creative, laid back, photojournalist who consistently provides ALL her clients a fun, super chill client experience at an affordable price. Like EVERY time. My clients get to enjoy the heck out of their wedding day and have awesome, unique documentary wedding photos that are timeless and treasured.

This whole wedding photography stuff may be new to you, but I quit counting after 1,000 weddings. There is literally nothing that rattles me. I’ve seen it all before and I’ve got you covered. Worried you’ll look awkward? That’s a big worry for most of my clients. Turns out with a little humor and some prep work ahead of time, you’ll look as fabulous as you feel. Bet you can’t tell in my photos who thought they were “awkward” and who didn’t.

So why do I keep bragging about winning “Best Wedding Photographer” near Detroit, Michigan over 12 freaking years in a row?

Because I am the ONLY wedding photographer in the Metro Detroit area who has earned this incredible honor. These awards are because of my fantastic clients. I love what I do and my clients want you to know that too! They sing my praises loudly, so try Googling my name to see all the great reviews for yourself.

FAQs

If you're looking for a fun, easy going, affordable, highly experienced photographer who creates incredibly unique images and has a 99.9% approval rating from her clients, then I am very much your person :) I don't believe any other photographer in Michigan can boast over 12 years recognition for "Best Of" rating for their skills and services. But enough bragging.
No, actually you don't. While many, many photographers love to have another photographer around to help them, I prefer to keep my profile really low. Being a solo photographer lets me be super sneaky so I can get all those great moments. I'm everywhere and I lose my ninja status with other photographers around. I'm married to one, so it would be super easy to add one in, but it is absolutely not necessary. But how can I get you walking down the aisle AND your partner's expression? Um, turn and rotate. I do this all the time. I personally love being 100% responsible. Keeps me in the game 100% of the time. And it builds a great bond between us too as an added bonus.
Yes, I do. They are fine, but they aren't exactly portfolio worthy. People who are in them like them just fine, but if you're not in them it really does look like a bunch of people just standing there. Here's the thing. They are never my client's favorite part of the day, but they are pretty important. You'll never find a time when your family is as cooperative, well dressed and willing to do this as your wedding day, so it's great to take advantage of it. I cruise through these photos as efficiently as possible.
My background is in newspapers, the obsolete form of news gathering, where I was officially called a "photojournalist". These days, it's by far the most popular style of wedding photography. I've seen it described as candid style, or documentary, or realistic or story telling or lots of other euphemisms for photojournalism.
Lots of clients ask this question which makes me think that the industry as a LOT of photographers out there who book clients with their portfolios and then give them a different photographer. That seems super shady to me. I am THE photographer. I'm lucky that if ever something happened to me and I couldn't photograph a wedding I happen to be married to a fellow photojournalist with tons of his own wedding experience. Needless to say, he's been used twice in over 1,000 weddings.
