Disappointing
At the outset of our engagement with Sweetly Paired, Lilli demonstrated a high degree of attentiveness and expertise in the realm of wedding planning.... However, after executing our contract and making payment, our experience became increasingly problematic. We soon learned that Lilli was in the process of opening a restaurant in addition to her role as a wedding planner, which caused us concern regarding her ability to effectively manage both demanding endeavors. Subsequently, our communication with Sweetly Paired became increasingly sluggish, with email responses taking over a week, in contrast to the 24-48 hour window outlined in our contract.
Despite having expressed our concerns about the lack of communication, our experience did not improve. Sweetly Paired's preference for email communication made it challenging to schedule phone calls to review contracts and address any questions or issues that arose. After several weeks of back-and-forth, we were able to finalize our hotel and event date. However, upon review of the room block contract, we noted several inaccuracies, including incorrect airport information, the absence of airport transfer fees, and errors in the room block type breakdown and dates. Despite bringing these issues to Lilli's attention, we were met with a lack of concern, which made us uneasy.
Ultimately, after careful consideration, we elected to terminate our contract with Sweetly Paired due to a loss of trust in the process and the absence of attention to detail. In good faith, we reached out to Lilli to request a 50% refund of our fee, which we paid in full rather than the 50% required according to the contract. To our disappointment, not only was our request for a refund declined, but Lilli failed to acknowledge our correspondence, even after multiple follow-up emails with read receipts.
We feel it is important to share our experience and caution future couples to exercise caution when considering Sweetly Paired for their wedding planning needs. While Lilli may possess strong sales skills, her follow-through and attention to detail left much to be desired in our experience, and her lack of professionalism in failing to respond to our request was extremely disappointing.
