Hi, I’m Liam!

I’m a professional wedding photographer based in Colorado Springs. I’m originally from Scotland, and have lived in the United States since 2016 with my wife, Melissa. I’m doing my best to keep my accent.

I will document your wedding as an observer rather than a director. I’m going to let the wedding day happen and be in the middle of it, documenting everything. I love those candid, emotional, happy, cute, family/friends moments that make each wedding unique. Because that is where your story and the most important memories live.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love a couples photoshoot at sunset as much as the next person. If you’re nervous or feel awkward in front of the camera, I will guide you every step of the way.

I’m a minimalist at heart. I don’t show up with tons of equipment. Less gear allows me to stay mobile, be discreet, photograph quickly, and focus on what matters… You’re wedding!

The name Tartan Trews, as the logo suggests, is Scottish for Tartan Pants. It’s a nod to my heritage and is kinda fun to have as a logo. Don’t worry, I won’t wear tartan pants to your wedding.
