Located on the back of the property, the venue is full of unique rustic textures of cedar wood and chopped stone, including a floor-to-ceiling fireplace. The Melissa Barn is the perfect size to comfortably accommodate up to 130 guests.
Darrell and Heather are the proprietors and operators of the Melissa Barn. Growing up Darrell had a passion for horses and dreamed of operating his own horse farm. A real estate venture led him to the property that is now the Melissa Barn at HD Ranch.
Within six months, Darrell had fulfilled his dream. The HD Ranch was a fully functional equestrian facility up until 2013. Now Darrell is using the property to pursue a new dream of offering a perfectly balanced elegant yet rustic venue for events and weddings.
Darrell and his wife are both real estate professionals and have managed the Melissa Barn property for nearly twenty years.

Excellent people and stunning venue with lodging options
The perfect venue with super attentive people in a gorgeous property! The Melissa Barn staff was very accommodating and helpful thru our DYI wedding.... They even have some decor available to use! We rented the whole property for the weekend which allowed us to spend more time with family and friends. It was clean and has lots of fun games. The day of the ceremony the owner personally transports the bride in a fancy golf cart and takes care of every detail! So if you are looking for a beautiful outside ceremony, a stunning indoor reception venue and want to work with great people then the Melissa Barn is for you! (Yes, go for the weekend package, you won’t regret it! )
