About Us

At Vareus Events, we specialize in wedding planning and design. As a boutique planning and design firm, we do not mass produce events or only work at select venues. We only book a limited number of weddings per year, and you will work directly with one seasoned planner throughout your planning process. On your wedding day, our team will coordinate all of the details of your wedding plan and design.

We are a boutique planning and design firm located in Portland, serving all of Oregon. We design each of our weddings for our clients’ individual needs and styles. We’ve planned large scale weddings with hundreds of guests, and intimate elopements - with a whole lot in between.

Do you have items in your inventory we can use?

Yes! That said we also know the right vendor resources and retail options to help you get whatever specific items you need for your wedding.

Do you offer day of coordination?

No. We’ve found in all of our years of experience that our aligned clients are couples who don’t have the time or knowledge we have to help you plan your wedding. We are your partner in this process from the moment we join your team. We help you create your ideal wedding team and design, well before your wedding date arrives.

When should we book a planner?

Ideally as soon as you get engaged. Many clients hire us soon after they’ve secured a venue and are beginning to feel overwhelmed. 9-12 months out is average, though thanks to COVID we have experience designing and planning a completely new wedding with new venues and vendors as quickly as ten days out.

We don’t know if we can afford a planner, but can we get help getting started and figuring that out?

Yes! We offer a digital planning package to help you set a budget, narrow down your venue and vendor options, and help get you started on your planning journey. If you find you can take it from there, great! If you find you do have the budget for planning we may be able to help.

Do we have to book you for flowers if we book you for planning?

No. We often do just floral design and work with other planners and we often design and plan weddings working with other quality floral designers.
